Local band Never the Less came out to open the festivities and provide live entertainment on Main Street.

They alternated performances with Beth Cooper and the TN Hollow throughout the day.

Vendors filled downtown McMinnville with booths and food trucks, redirecting traffic around the four-block festival.

From kettle corn and pork rinds to 3D printers and sloth puppets, Main Street was full to bursting with unique wares and entertainment.

McMinnville hosted their 25th annual Autumn Street Fair this weekend.

They were sponsored by a number of local businesses, such as the Southern Standard, Yorozu, and Which Wich.

They hosted such events as a cornhole competition, a dog costume contest, and featured two live bands.

Representatives from the McMinnville police and fire departments came out to engage in the event.

The fire department brought out two of their engines for children to explore, along with the "fun zone" that was available for young attendees.

A new addition to this small town tradition came by way of a dog costume contest hosted by Helping Animals of Warren County.

HAWC hosted its first dog costume contest this year to get attendees into the Halloween spirit and raise awareness for their efforts to find homes for stray animals throughout the county.

"We have 18 entries, which is pretty great for our first event," said Hollie Cox, HAWC president.

HAWC was founded in 2015 to help inform citizens of Warren County about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, as well as adopting from shelters rather than breeders.

They host events throughout Warren County to support good pet ownership and give the community opportunities to participate in helping their furry neighbors.

Twenty-five years of experience in organizing this street fair has given the community a chance to grow closer and celebrate together.

Harvest festivals may be a thing of yore, but the tradition of celebrating community and family has merely taken a new form.

Happy autumn, McMinnville.
